Well hello there! My name is Dan. Im 30, live in Clearwater, FL and have been in the Air Force for almost 6yrs. Im thankful beyond words that I have been saved by grace alone, by faith alone, and through Christ alone. I love the outdoors and love the stars. As Psalm 19:1 says, The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Im very active and love anything from soccer & volleyball to snowboarding. Im passionate about photography and capturing amazing moments. Like Paul said, Life is but a vapor. Every small thing I strive to be thankful for. I have been in the Air Force for 5yrs and love serving our country. I love to cook, read, massive movie buff, and love to travel. Growing up I was fortunate enough to travel to over 42 countries. I love adventure. I fall short of His glory daily and am so thankful for His forgiveness. A little about my background/testimony. My parents have been missionaries overseas to the persecuted church for nearly 18yrs. I grew up as a missionary kid for all of my childhood. I have a very loving and God fearing family and am the oldest of 4 kids. My dad and I were tortured for the sake of the Gospel and through that God has made my resolve for Him very strong. James 1:2 says blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial. I praise Him for trials because they display His love and grace.
I am divorced not of my own choosing. I believe marriage is commanded to be forever. God has healed me through that and given me the hope through 1 Cor 7:15 that I do, in my specific circumstance, have the grace to remarry and move forward. One amazing blessing is Im the daddy of a beautiful little girl. My daughter is 4 and she apart from Christ is my love. I believe we are called to unconditionally love, forgive, and encourage one another. I would be honored to get to know you more, feel free to send me a message!
To me, being a Christian means:
Dying to self and living in Christ. Forgiving others, extending grace, and loving unconditionally as Christ does. We have been saved by grace through faith alone in Christ Jesus. Being a Christian means surrendering daily to the beauty and glory of our King.
My favorite Bible passage and why:
Psalm 139:14 "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."
1 Peter 5:10-11 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
