- I was saved at age 27 when my first husband said he wanted a divorce-pregnant with #2. Prayed for his salvation and return. But it was not His will. Raised three children, and I could see the Lord's hand in our lives! Unfortunately, I felt a need to remarry as time went on. He claimed to be saved, but as time went on, it was obvious he was not! He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on August 6th of last year and died on August 27th. Praise the Lord he finally got saved and rebaptized a couple of weeks before. Now with two horrible marriages behind me,. I would like to think that there is someone out there whom I could love and that would love me in return(that would be a first!). He has to love the Lord first and foremost, as I do, because nothing will work without that in place. Experience really is a good teacher. I am just so thankful for our loving and forgiving Father, and I want to try and please Him in all that I do. I have been on Christian Mingle-too many different religions. It is so easy for me to become contentious about doctrinal issues. I was raised Catholic, turned Lutheran for first husband, and am now a Baptist by conviction. I am not desperate, because I have truly learned that whatsoever state I am in to be content. Looking forward to the next chapter of life and having Him be the author of it.
